En esta \u00e1rea se forman capacidades en biotecnolog\u00eda a trav\u00e9s del estudio de agentes biol\u00f3gicos: plantas, microorganismos y derivados (enzimas, metabolitos primarios y secundarios y otros), con fines beneficiosos para el desarrollo\u00a0 de procesos y productos de inter\u00e9s industrial, ambiental o en salud.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la pr\u00e1ctica, en el \u00e1rea de biotecnolog\u00eda se investigan\u00a0 microorganismos y derivados con importancia para la agricultura, agroindustria, la industria de alimentos, farmac\u00e9utica, textil,\u00a0 producci\u00f3n de plataformas de qu\u00edmicos y precursores, producci\u00f3n de biopol\u00edmeros, procesos de biodegradaci\u00f3n y biorremediaci\u00f3n de contaminantes ambientales, dise\u00f1o de bioprocesos que den valor agregado a los recursos naturales, adem\u00e1s del control de procesos y verificaci\u00f3n de la calidad de productos, a partir del conocimiento espec\u00edfico de la biodiversidad y el potencial biotecnol\u00f3gico que ofrece la misma. Bajo este paraguas, en la actualidad se ejecutan proyectos financiados con enfoque en agricultura sostenible en el escenario de cambio clim\u00e1tico para mejorar la sanidad y productividad de cultivos de inter\u00e9s agr\u00edcola y contribuir a la seguridad alimentaria, adem\u00e1s se desarrollan productos y servicios para la protecci\u00f3n y restauraci\u00f3n del medio ambiente.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las soluciones basadas en microorganismos incluyen\u00a0 el desarrollo de biofertilizantes, biocontroladores y biopesticidas, bajo par\u00e1metros espec\u00edficos para la colecci\u00f3n de microorganismos, producci\u00f3n y formulaci\u00f3n de bioinsumos, asegurando su eficacia mediante ensayos de validaci\u00f3n en cultivos bajo un enfoque participativo con productores. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
